handled 460,960 passengers and 67,471 tons but that was in the days before
roll on, roll off car ferries.

The Vanguard was the staple equipment on LHR-EDI, the Viscount
elsewhere domestic...

Southend was strongly tipped for development, seems the
opportunities are now in the past.
Southend of course was the main UK airport for the Berlin airlift
operations.
