I am looking for a flight to Rimini, preferably from EDI in June. I know
that Easyjet go from Stansted with flights to Stansted from EDI. Is there a
search engine like Opodo which will search charter companies like Airtour,
Thomson etc?

There is a direct flight from somewhere else in Scotland. Try SOLEMAR INTL

if interested.

If you try www.openjet.com it will search all the low-cost airlines (well
apart from Ryanair, cos they're not low-cost, they're "free") for you to see
if there are any alternatives routings nearby.

Another interpretation problem...Wattie said EDI....

We don't have to be told what leaves from BAA's chosen bucket and spade
airport...we get it rammed down our throats day in and day out...

He said preferably EDI. There are no EDI-Rimini direct flights so it's
conceivable it may be of interest. We certainly wouldn't want a ban on
relevant helpful information. Would we?

I am frankly embarrassed and cringed when I read the above. Not all of us
take delight in the EDI / GLA childishness.
If I was looking for a direct flight I certainly wouldnt mind travelling 50
miles or so to get it, and I am sure the questioner would certainly consider
it.
I think, as Clive pointed out, the important point in the post was the
preferably, i.e willing to consider others.
If your only aim, and it certainly appears so from from the lack of recent
worthwile contributions, is to get peoples backs up , then on this occasion
you have succeeded.
What a sad existence.

preferable adj More desirable, suitable or advisable amongst options
