While most UK airports have their own dedicated threads in the airlines,
airports and routes section of PPrune http://www.pprune.org/forums/ , EDI
doesn't. Even airports like Manston and the Isle of White have their own
dedicated threads. This has all but killed off the Luton Newsgroup but I
can't complain as everyone who has an interest in Luton seems to go to
PPRUNE while for years the Luton newsgroup struggled to attract many posts.

Would EDI not benefit from a dedicated thread on PPRUNE as a moderated
newsgroup is surely the way forward to stop all of the arguments here? Or
is it the case that you all secretly enjoy your squabbles?

There have already been numerous deleted /locked threads and apprehensions

on PPRUNE...they can spot his nonsense a mile off, and they have usually
nipped it in the bud, hence his now infrequent posting there...under his
obvious username anyway.

I stand corrected but there hasn't been many posts to it compared to other
airports. Maybe nothing interesting happens at EDI?

The GLA trolls put EDI importance on the back-burner Jeff.. they are
more interested in rubbishing it than discussing it.

An interesting idea, but, isn't PPRUNE a forum for pilots??

More for GLA pillocks one would have thought as fas as discussing EDI
is concerned?

He never got banned..good grief is there no ends to these lies from
you Glasgow guys?

Good grief... when are you idiots going to stop this character
assassination of EDI guys? No wonder the EDI aficionados get
driven-off.

This constant attacking of non-Glasgow usenet users is a blot on
Glasgow's reputation.

Do something useful for a change like repairing the damage to Glasgow
and apologising to the guys you lot have insulted.

Not too surprised he attempts to post on a pilots forum, his heed is in the

clouds anyway lol.

Disgraceful...

“There has been plenty of smoke and mirrors, plenty of innuendo,
plenty of circumstantial speculation, that alone is not enough to
destroy a man’s reputation.

What we have seeing here is vicious vendetta to discredit EDI input
into alt.airports.uk.edinburgh and now PPRUNE, Jim Arnold? How many
forums has he been banned from..and under what aliases?

The perpetrators are well known, we have to ask ourselves "What are
their motives"?..seems they are not only trying to destroy one man but
also Edinburgh Airport's advancement."

Because it helps stop the rapidly failing aauh group going down the tubes.

I realised that but your humanitarian gesture isn't getting the appreciation
it deserves sadly. It would do better if the name of the group more
accurately reflected the material being posted. Anyone got any suggestions?

Perhaps people here are taking their lead from AAUG, where it seems to
be popular to continue talking to their resident troll (AS). Proof that
a kill file policy does NOT exist there, just a 'selected ignoring
policy' ;-)

There is no policy as far as I'm aware. It's everyone's individual choice
what they see fit to do whether in aaue or aaug or wherever.

Clive

Agree with Clive, no policy, here or elsewhere, Mr Curry digs his own grave,

every time! The monthly posted troll list is a suggestion/advisory to those
unwary that they need not suffer his bile.

Well he did delete one of his `mate` Rod's posts because he had the
audacity to mention Google Earth and GLA. He later re-instated it - but
edited out the GLA mention. Truly pathetic!
