Figures released by BAA yesterday showed Edinburgh handled 817,300 passengers - a rise of 3.4 percent, while Glasgow remained static at 891,100. The report showed that 8.5 million passengers used Edinburgh Airport over the past 12 months - a rise of 3.9 percent in the year to the end of June. Glasgow saw numbers increase by just 1.7 percent to 8.8m.
