Just curious Easyjet had them specially modified with 2 overwing exits as they put an extra six seats in their aircraft. I believe they carry 156 pax instead of the normal 150. They have no galleys so could accommodate the extra seats easily without reducing the seat pitch. They also have to carry 4 cabin crew instead of 3 due the increase in pax. I believe easyjet are the only operators of this version. Yes, even if it doesn't satisfy basic passenger comfort levels ... IMO, anyway. Recently flew with EZY between LGW and EDI aboard one of their new A319s. I always thought the seat pitch on EZY wasnt that bad but then Im 5'5". Ive got a good amount of space forward of my knees even when the person in front moves their chair. I don't think the boarding was noticeably any quicker, and it was a full flight. The aisle certainly appeared to be wider than the 737, though.
