Are they still operating from that bombsite which was a 10 minute walk away
from the terminal? Can't remember the exact location but I had to walk past
a petrol station and under a road to an industrial estate. I used them last
year and found them great, couldn't fault the Merc they gave me either at £5
per day, which was the only car they supplied. Looking at their website now
they seem to offer a full range of cars and are no cheaper than anyone else.
I know they now have brokerage agreements with other companies but has
anyone seen any Easy Mercs lately around the terminal?

Hi
They are still at the bombsite and you still have the walk. As for the cars,
yep the selection certainly has improved. Not seen many A class easyCars
around at all.

Car selection seems to be mainly Corsas and Fiestas and the like, no
longer the classy Merc image. Have not bothered to check their prices
for a long time, as the company became annoyed at their habit of adding
loads of costs after the event for damage, insurance and the like
without telling the renter at the time of return.

I used the easyCar web site for a car booking at EMA this week. It was just
a brokerage for Avis and I was fully aware. The cheapest car was £31 for a
Fiat Punto for the day all-in with a £600 excess which could have been
reduced at a further cost. The Avis rep met us on arrival and mini-bussed us
to the office nearby and took us back on return. It was the first day of
this new service and the cheery driver was temporarily up from LHR to set it
up. No problems.
