See, thats a nice thought, but I was always under the impression that
the loco's made their money from these short sectors by making so many
flights in a day.

They could do it, and do it profitably, but it wouldnt grow their
profits as quickly as european expansion, so it could happen, but not
for a wee while in my opinion

Take EZY with a 76 to Newark....... turn it around in record time,
charge for food, meals etc could become very interesting.

Locos doing long haul is something that will grow as aircraft become
more efficient.

Come to think of it - the good people of Edinburgh apparently have more
disposable income available to them (source - the Livi Trosser) - so
they may as well spend some of it on a non existent airline Wink

Disposable income? Livi trosser?

http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=463942005

Residents have an average of £14,156 to spend on themselves every
year once bills, pensions, and mortgages or rents are paid. In
comparison, Glasgow households have only £10,749 left over.

Look carefully and see how they are trying to talk-down EDI...

To put it kindly, you are being oversensitive.

And you are understating!

Post of the year Surfer.

You don't happen to be a TD of Zetnet do you? He voiced similar sentiments
and the dummy was well and truly thrown out of the pram then. I could
understand why you chose anonimity this time.

Hi Surf

He has the 'Yabbers' thing...Whats the point (?)

He can contol that - he can't control here. He still thinks he can though.
Personally I think such an opinion needs some sort of therapy. 70 year old
and still totally rejects advice from all walks and all areas of life.

Then again maybe he is correct all along.

Which makes me wonder why NOBODY has told him so.

Even `a close personal friend` cites him as the reason why he no longer
posts here. Any surprise?

Best ignored I would think - just like Zetnet finally chose to do.

Er, have you ever considered he actually wants an audience for his

It did occur to me that any such Yahoo! Group would be pretty empty....

Indeed, do you know he even has his yappers ng set so that any mention
of GLA is auto - corrected to 'EGPF?' How sad is that.

B

Joe. It's hardly 'contribution' from yourself (providing to a mutual
cause?).

We have been over this so many times. I have listened to you, empathised
with you, insulted you and downright libelled you (very aware of that
statement). However, it remains that you continue to say a lot but do
nothing. Try a wee google thing for something called 'blame culture'....

I though you would have picked up on the thread today about the old terminal
with the BEA stuff and the outside staircase. That could be a great
discussion.... Wow.

Be good. Two ears, one mouth, that proportion :-)
