Did Randy Cunningham disgrace himself taking bribes . . . HELL YES.
Was there any disgrace in wearing a wire to assist in the apprehension
of other criminals (even if to mitigate his consequences) . . . hardly.
There is no honor amongst thieves, and if Duke had a role in
prosecuting another criminal, then good for him. A tiny first step
toward atonement.

He is a crook and he has earned the crap heaped upon him for that, but
to wear a wire to assist in the arrest and prosecution of other
criminals . . . is not, to me anyway, dishonorable. Perhaps he did do
it to mitigate his own punishment, but if bad people were doing bad
things and as a result of wearing this wire, caught, fine with me.
