I'd like to use DUATS to plan and file routes that include SIDs, but I find
it often doesn't know about them. For instance, when I try to list the SIDs
for KBED, it says there are none; when I try to list the SIDs for KBTV, it
lists only BTV4.BTV (and it doesn't seem to accept manually specified SIDs
that it doesn't list).

Am I making some mistake, or does DUATS have incomplete data?

airnav.com doesn't list any SIDs for BED, and shows only BTV4 for BTV. They must
be using the same data. What data source indicates other SIDs exist?

If you try to download the approach plates at aeroplanner.com, it shows
HASCSOM SIX as a SID at BED, but it's a vector SID. They also only have
BTV4 for BTV.

KBED has the Hanscom Six departure.

KBTV has only the Burlington Four departure, but there are many transitions,
such as BTV4.CAM. But DUATS only recognizes BTV4.BTV.

You will only be able to input non-vector DPs when filing. If you have an
IFR GPS that can automatically load DPs (like the Garmins), then you will
notice that you can not load vector DPs because of the same reason.

That makes sense. I was confused because DUATS does accept BTV4.BTV, but not
the other BTV4 transitions. But I emailed DUATS and they said it was an
error that they accept BTV4.BTV.
