Good news for Dundee I'm sure - but doesn't bode very well when
'flywhoosh's' website is under construction. May 29 start?

Out of interest, at what time in the morning does the first train for
Edinburgh leave Dundee

Mon-Fri, 06:16 arriving at 07:51 - not much use for am 07:30 flight.
Trains back are better - last one leaves Waverley at 23:10.

Pay attention at the back, Jim Mason did with his follow up post.

Jim surely isn't an advocate of Fly Local?

I'd invite him, and you and everyone else, to join Johnstone's "Freedom to
Fly" campaign.

Freedom to Fly encourages the development of international air links from
all of Scotland's airports, thus reducing the need to travel furthera field
and reduce the toll on the environment. However Freedom to Fly strongly
advocates The Right To Choose - i.e. if you want to fly from an airport
further away because it's cheaper or the times suit better, or conversely if
you want to fly from your local airport via Heathrow, than these are your
rights and you should not be subjected to any abuse because of it.

Vote Freedom to Fly on 3rd May.

Och aye. If anything is to go by ... what its name that flies from
Dundee to London ... I will use it often not.

Scotairways AKA Soutar Air. I wasn't a particular fan of his after his
pathetic attempt to buy the political agenda through his Section 2A
referendum some years ago, and now he's writing cheques for Alex Salmond he
can go jump as far as I'm concerned ... thank goodness BA are now providing
some choice to LCY.

Aviation and politics: - inseparably linked Smile

Another update today:

Director insistent airline is credible

The commercial director of the airline planning to start flights from
Dundee to Birmingham and Belfast yesterday responded to concerns raised over
a previous failed airline venture, insisting the new operation "has not put
a foot wrong."

flywhoosh? Not sure if "whoosh" means anything in Polish or if it's
ono^H^H^H onamat^H^H^H^H^H the same sound as an aeroplane makes.

Polish crew shouldn't be difficult to find in Scotland these days :-)

I've noticed a a Polish captain on bmibaby and Polish cabin crew on
Ryanair recently.

Yes, my one and only Ryanair experience was with Polish crew.

Good news for those who have to endure the Forth Bridge slog
to connect to
those destinations.

Hopefully when EARL opens the Forth Bridge will be even less of
a "slog" than it is now. The Forth Road Bridge does have
queues from time to time. But then what busy roads in Scotland
don't?- Hide quoted

I'm surprised nobody's brought up the "fly local" thing yet Wink
Pay attention at the back, Jim Mason did with his follow up post.

Jim surely isn't an advocate of Fly Local?

I'd invite him, and you and everyone else, to join Johnstone's
"Freedom to
Fly" campaign.

Freedom to Fly encourages the development of international air
links from
all of Scotland's airports, thus reducing the need to travel
furthera field
and reduce the toll on the environment. However Freedom to Fly
strongly advocates The Right To Choose - i.e. if you want to fly
from an airport further away because it's cheaper or the times suit
better, or conversely
if
you want to fly from your local airport via Heathrow, than these
are your
rights and you should not be subjected to any abuse because of it.

Vote Freedom to Fly on 3rd May.
I'll put my 'X' in your box no problem CJ, it's only common sense
what you say after all.

It's time :-)

You'll never make a politician though, common sense and politicians
just don't go.

Evidently, as the latest opinion polls show Sad

I don't believe for one minute that there is more enthusiasm for
independence or SNP's manifesto (what are their other distinguishing
policies anyway?) than there was before. Many think it's time for
change and the SNP are cast in the role of being the main opposition and
hence the ones most likely to bring about change.
