Travelled from DUS this evening on AB. Flight from DUS to STN 80% full
[738] arrived to find new fast track to GLA flight. No more big ques
through Passport Control, No more working way through terminal, No more
queing through departures. Almost as easy as outbound mini-hub on
central pier.
Flight to GLA 40-50% full with 13 souls transferring from DUS
flight. STN was the usual 'Oceon' of FR, 'Sea' of Easy and 'Lake' of
AB. Not much else on show?
The AB Hub [IMHO] is working and improving at STN. Watch out for
other's following the model... i.e. BE..???

So do you get your passport checked somewhere else at STN, at GLA, or not at
all? I did hear they were planning a "mini-hub" - I'll certainly be more
disposed to using AB again if this new arrangement continues to work out
better.

No more working way through terminal, No more

Your passport still gets checked in STN [as not all to GLA are transit]
It gets checked in the new fast track corridor along with boarding
card. Meaning only people in que are transit from AB flight(s). It took
about eight mins from arriving gate to departure gate via shuttle train
instead of the usual 25 - 30mins from previous trips.

Thank's for clearing that up for me - It certainly sounds better than the
time that I travelled AB and had to fight my way through the terminal.

My workmates from Cambridge are flying up next week and I have told
them so much about AB that they have booked with them instead of
easyJet. Well thats another 4 pax for the route next week. Sorry

Try them again, hopefully you'll be suprised with the easy change? [I
was] They have also rescheduled the departing GLA flight to 16:10...I
seem to remember it leaving at 16:25, but I may be wrong? Means less of
a wait, obviously...!!! Still the downside means they are going to
continue with the system and nothing new direct....At least from them
anyway.
