I'm just starting to build a Laser 200/Superstar type aircraft. I'm
intersted in switching from the tapered aileron to a constant chord aileron
to increase the roll rate. The rear spar on the aircraft is tapered from
around 4 1/2 inches at the root to 1 7/8 inches at the tip. The current
aileron tapers in both width and thickness as you move down the wing. Will
a constant chord, constant thickness aileron work on this wing??? Anyone
have any experience modifying this type of aircraft?
