I have a subscription set up at <http://www.pilotportal.com>, and
they only charge $1 for shipping. It's the least expensive deal I've
been able to find.

.... however, I just went to their web site, and I can't find any information
on their subscription service. I'm going to send them an e-mail and make
sure they're still offering it. Their site may just be having problems.

I wrote to myairplane.com telling that it was an unacceptable

seems that they offer a good product but have lousy service and do not
seem to care a whit about customers' needs.

One of MyAirplane.com's founders used to be regular here (until about 10
months ago). I wonder if he still lurks, as your experience would be quite
a read for him.

Peter,

Yes, I noticed that too. The contact email at myairplane.com can
be either his email address or just a black hole in cyberspace!

I just bought strait from my FBO at North Perry a terminal chart and
sectional chart for $13.

From http://www.airplanecharts.com/, it is $11.30 and you have to wait for
it. If the FBO is only a buck or two more, you might as well get it there
and support your local FBO rather than some guy working from his house and
whoknowswhereville and wait for first class mail delivery.

Just my $.02

Lakeview Bill,

I agree with you. We used to buy our charts from the previous FBO.
The FBO where we currently keep our plane only sells fuel, oils etc.
and no charts. In addition, most FBOs carry local charts and maybe
some adjacent areas. To plan for a long cross country covering
thousands of miles, ordering charts online is the only way to go.
