My aerobatics instructor told me that aerobatic training and practice must
only be carried out in the designated area within the Jandakot training
area. I asked him where that was specified and he didn't know. I can't find
any mention of it but guess it might be in RACWA's or some other
organisation's operations manual. There is a hint of it on the Perth VTC
towards the NE corner of the training area.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Cheers

always on the vtc. |
not usually a delineated area just an approximate spot usually clear
of complaints and power lines within a training danger area.

Hi Roger
You are probably right. So far nobody has pointed to any written rules to
the contrary. Actually I think it aerobatics are OK anywhere in Class G
airspace provided height, area etc minima are met.

thats correct. the vtc stuff is just a further warning within the D |
airspace warning of a particular type of activity.(training)
height, clearance from other traffic, suitability of the aircraft
structurally (usually noted in the POH), withing CG and weight
limitations, and appropriate pilot licence endorsements in the logbook
are probably all the requirements. after medical etc.
its not complicated.
