SIPTU, which represents more than half of the company’s 4,000 staff, is planning to hold general meetings at the three airports from noon on Saturday unless Aer Lingus lifts the September 14 deadline for acceptance of a redundancy package. The union believes the deadline does not give the workers enough time to adequately consider their future options.
