DUBLIN (AP)--Cabin crew at Ireland's national airline on Saturday postponed a planned one-day strike over pay and working
conditions.

The Impact union, which represents Aer Lingus (AEL.YY) cabin crew, deferred the strike scheduled for Monday after considering
recommendations from mediators at Ireland's Labor Court.

More than 1,000 cabin staff staged a one-day strike on Thursday, forcing the airline to cancel about 10% of its flights.

The union wants a 4% pay raise with no strings attached. Aer Lingus managers say the raise must be linked to new work policies,
particularly new rosters that would allow Aer Lingus flights to arrive and depart an airport within 25 minutes. The airline is
trying to speed up turnaround times as part of moves to compete with low-cost rivals like Ryanair.

Mediators are proposing the new rosters be introduced for a three-month trial period and then reassessed. Airline managers are due
to consider the recommendation next week.
